With 10 years of experience in public relations and marketing behind her, in June of 1999,
Nancy Tringali (now Piho) launched Nancy Tringali Associates, Inc. (NTA, Inc.) in Washington, DC.
NTA, Inc. specializes in strategic planning and implementation of media relations activities for a wide range of food and beverage clients.
The company is comprised of a top-notch group of food, nutrition, media, design, culinary, marketing and other professionals who come together as needed to assist clients in meeting their individual needs.
NTA, Inc. professionals are in constant contact with the nation’s top food and nutrition media at newspapers, magazines, bloggers, and in broadcast outlets. We design and execute desk side briefings, media trips and events, cooking contests, consumer polls, satellite media tours, radio promotions, recipe development, food photography, health professional outreaches, press conferences and more.
NTA, Inc. created and directs Shopping for Health, an outreach program linking food and beverage industry professionals with supermarket dietitians. Since 2011, Shopping for Health has hosted annual conferences, bringing together industry leaders to share news and information on how to best reach food shoppers at the point of purchase – the supermarket. Shopping for Health distributes a bi-monthly e-newsletter to more than 600 supermarket dietitians at 75 different chains.
Before starting NTA, Inc. Nancy Tringali Piho was a Vice President in the Food and Nutrition Practice in the Washington office of Porter Novelli . Nancy is the author of the popular book, My Two-Year-Old Eats Octopus: Raising Children Who Love to Eat Everything (Bull Publishing, 2009.) She continues to serve as a media spokesperson and writer on the issue of “children and eating,” and is a frequent guest speaker on this topic.
Nancy is currently purusing a degree in nutrition and dietitics at the University of the District of Columbia.
She is a member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Les Dames d'Escoffier International.
